Charity knitters are folks (mainly women) who knit - for charity, for themselves and for others. They knit at home, they knit in the car, and they knit in public. Some of them are members of Guilds, some aren't. Some have been knitting for 50+ years, some are just starting. All of them share a love of charity knitting, in all its forms.
Some of the things that some of us participate in include:

BRITISH COLUMBIA

In the Greater Victoria area, some of us knit for ....
    - AIDS VANCOUVER ISLAND needs sleeping bags, blankets, camping or yoga mats, hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters, jackets and coats.
    - THE VICTORIA HUMAN EXCHANGE SOCIETY (VHES) needs blankets, hats, scarves, slippers, etc.

    - blankets for Streetlink, Sandy Merriman House, The "Y"'s Youth Outreach Program,
the Native Friendship Centre's battered women's shelter
    - socks and slippers for Sandy Merriman house, Streetlink
    - scarves and toques for Streetlink, Open Door, and Sandy Merriman House
    - shawls and lap blankets for Royal Jubilee's Hospice Program and the Cancer Clinic
    - baby hats (including preemies) and bereavement baby blankets
    for Victoria General Hospital
    - EASTER SEAL HOUSE also needs 'preemie' things
